Hello all! Welcome if you're new to the site! <3

Well Senshi-con came and went, and we had a blast! It was really fun to meet new people, in addition to seeing some friends from before. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and said hello!
Claire has a few commissions that couldn't be delivered before the end of the convention, but she'll be mailing them out today, so expect them soon.
Kelsey returned to the frigid banks of the north, but we won't let that stop her from drawing! Gotta find some way to keep warm haha.
At this point, commissions are open for the both of us. Email us if you'd like to request one, and check the status on the left of the page to see its status!

And now, an announcement from Claire:
YES! I'm going to start up an Etsy shop! The Amigurumi went over very well at the convention (I was so happy people liked them!) and now, I'll be making things to sell at the wonderful venue Etsy. If you haven't heard of it, it's an place online where you can set up your own personal shop to sell supplies or handmade items. A truly wonderful place, there's almost any kind of unique and handmade thing you could think of, you've definitely got to check it out.
I'll be making a post when the shop is open, and I expect that to only take another day or two. I want to have some new cool Amigurumi to put up for sale. I'll also be working on refining and posting patterns for sale as well, so you can try your hand at making cute friends<3

Also, just as a quick note, I'm sorry this didn't get up yesterday. I'm sick -_-;; But that won't stop anything else from getting done.

Hey peeps! Just an update from moi real quick to let you know that I've been working on some stuff I hope'll really please this year!

For those who don't know, Amigurumi is a form of Japanese crochet in which you make super cute animals and things, to which I have become highly addicted. But you benefit! For I have thusly created, small animals to sell at the con. I've worked on all sorts of cute things, including bunnies, puppies, kitties, penguins, bears, pandas, and even some piggies! I hope you like them! I sure do. If you want to see examples, feel free to visit my deviantart, hyper-piston.deviantart.com, where I've posted some pictures of what'll be there.

The other thing I want to try out are fanart puzzles, hand-cut and boxed, all ready for you to piece together and enjoy! I only picked a few anime to draw for this, because I want to test the waters, but I think that'll be okay. So if you like Blood+, Sailor Moon, DNAngel, Lucky Star, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle or Tokyo Mew Mew, check it out!
(ps, previews for the puzzles are also at my deviantart page)

That's all from me, so hope to see you soon! <3

Why hello!

We just wanted to pop in and let all of you know that we WILL be at Senshi-Con 2009 at the UAA Student Union building on February 21st. Considering Aurora-Con isn't going on until 2010, this is our one convention of the year and we are going to make it COUNT.

In fact, there's a 90% chance that we are working on awesome merchandise RIGHT NOW. Unless of course, you're reading this after senshi-con. In which case...greetings, newcomers!

Kelsey is returning from the frigid northern town of Fairbanks just for this convention! Unfortunately, Angela with Freeze Frames won't be our table buddy this year, but we're sure you'll find enough merchandise to choose from regardless.

What will we be selling this year, you ask? Well, we've been cooped up all winter making our art better so we have plenty of new stuff to sell, including...

+Prints!
+Bookmarks!
+Homemade adorable crochet projects!
+Commissions! Including sketch, ink, marker, and chibi badges!

Hope that's not too many different options for you guys. ;D Actually, I know the crochet bulletpoint is a little vague, which is why Claire's going to tell you guys about her amigurumi in a little bit.

Just as teasers for what you might find among our merchandise...
Do you like adorable animals? Do you like Gurren Lagann? You'll best come to our booth two weeks from today :D

Also, both of us are going to try our hand at original character art this year, so let us know what you think of our character design skills!

See you then! We're so stoked!

Aurora-con 2008 report and other news! <3

current mood: bouncy

Hey!<3 If you're new to the site, via Aurora-con or word-of-mouth, then welcome! The con was such a blast, we all had fun!
It brought us to a new landmark, too. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, the puzzles didn't get to be at this con, however they -WILL- be at Senshi-con (we're working to complete them now, so don't worry!) and the response I received from the idea was great! I hope you like them! Also, if you have any suggestions for anime you'd like to see become a puzzle, please leave it in the comments and I'll see what I can do!
Commissions also went really, really well, so I want to thank everyone who asked for one! Hopefully next time, we can reserve a booth fast enough to be in Artist's Alley! Haha.

Also, in the subject of arts-objects (things made out of fanart), I wanted to comment on the bookmarks. Last year we got great feedback on the idea and the actual items, however, it was a learning experience for the both of us. We realized afterwards that some, if not most of them, had an issue in the making that made them somewhat less sturdy than desirable. We're gonna remedy that, and get our own machine hopefully, to prevent this. So please look forward to better and stronger bookmarks! Woo, literacy!

Those who requested comissions that will be mailed should expect them soon; they're all getting done and mailed out today. If you like what you receive, feel free to look at our actual prices in the post a-ways below; at the con I sorta had to go off of memory because of internetyslowness haha.
Again, thank you all!

Information! Woo!

Hey-loo! <3 An update! 'cause gosh darnit, we haven't had one. And we need one. For various reasons.
Firstly, Annakkah, dear partner in Baggydog, has faced the unknown and traversed her way up to Fairbanks for schoolin'! So, unless time and studying allows, which for the moment we're going to assume it won't, she won't be in Anchorage for Senshi or Aurora cons. However, there IS a con in Fairbanks, which she might be able to go to! Awesome stuff, man, awesome stuff. But I'll let her tell you more about that.
Having said that, I'll be representing Baggydog at Aurora-con in the next two weeks, with a booth for the first day ONLY.
Commissions, original artworks, a few fan-art puzzles (good quality stuff there, man) and possibly, some Japanese-style crocheted little animals will be there! <3 Come by and see me in the vendors area! Helping me will be Angela, who might have her awesome frames there too, so check it out!
Oh, before I jet, I haven't been able to put up examples of my stuff in that section yet, so skip on over to my Deviantart to get an idea of what I cn' do! <3
Oh, and I'll be uploading the pictures I'm going to use for the puzzles, too :D
Hasta, baby! <3

Hey! Real quick, just wanted to let you know Senshi-con was a BLAST, our bookmarks were a hit (as was our bookmark suggestion form), and hopefully this will be an awesome glimpse into our future as an art shop.

Oh, and we have our first fangirl! Not to say we wouldn't like other fans, as well. So come on, introduce yourselves if you were able to find us in this corner of the internets after the con. You can post anonymously; you don't have to have a livejournal account.

A couple posts down we posted the list of characters and series we did for bookmarks, so if you want to suggest a bookmark and you weren't able to, comment on that! Likewise if you'd like to order a bookmark. Or, if you don't want everyone seeing what you said, you can always email us!

Thank you for making senshi-con SO fun, here's to future conventions to go so well!

Eeeey! <3 Was gonna make a post myself, but Kchan beat me to it.
Had a few more things about the con I thought we should post, so here they are!
First off, we're not just going as Baggy Dog! Oh ho, both of us will be there as Baggy Dog, but we'll have lots of other neat things you should check out!
Kelsey's been working hard on some fantastic little charms shaped like traditional Japanese cuisine! They're absolutely cute, you've GOTTA go see those. And Angela, who's frame thing is entitled Freeze Frames, is gonna be there with her psychedellic frames and some manga for sale! Always a bargain, look for that too!
As for me, Tatutee won't be the feature of this booth, but there WILL be some sweet anime-themed shirts for sale on the side!

COME ON, LET'S ALL GO A'CONNING! :D

Wow, we should have posted something about this earlier.

Remember those markers? Yeah, we did a LOT with them. So much that we have HEAPS of bookmarks to sell at Senshi-con 2008 tomorrow! It's at the UAA student union. So awesome. I decided to post a list here for you guys of all the bookmarks we did, so if after the con you find your way here and want to order more, you'll know what we have. Feel free to comment with suggestions as to what other bookmarks we can do, too!

I'll edit this as we make new bookmarks, k?

We're slowly getting the skeleton of this shop together, hopefully there will be meaty goodness soon full of lots of online commissions and tons of updates.

More about Aurora-con, and look what Kels got in the mail!

October 13th, 2007 (06:07 pm)

Look! It's the very very belated kindasorta tiny con summary! Sorry if my handwriting is hard to read. Yes, Claire was there, but all that art is mine because she was busy doing t-shirt commissions. Sorry if I didn't put your comission up there...I forgot to take pictures of all of them. If you DON'T want your commission up there, just tell me.

We're really busy with school, sadly, but don't think we've stagnated! Actually, we haven't updated the BD site so much because we've been busy getting ready for Senshi-con 2008! We're buying new supplies, making cheap alternatives to huge spendy bulky art pieces, and look what I got in the mail yesterday:

Ah, prismacolor markers. I've been pining for you since my first con ... Otakon 2003 .... *single tear runs down cheek* Man, these are making my art 20 times more awesome than colored pencils alone did....sorry, Derwent! ;-;

As soon as we have something substantial, we'll show you, but don't think that this is making us too busy for commissions! I was silly and forgot to say that we were open again, but look! 8 commission slots! Maybe someday Claire will even have examples to show you! ♥
